John Gyles Education Center Must ReadsEven though university normally requires more than enough reading, there are still certain books worth finding the time to read. If you don’t have time, you might mention them to your parents. These books are truly ‘must reads’. Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill; A classic, no nonsense approach to seeking true riches, both monetary and spiritual. The End of Faith: Religion, Terror, and the Future of Reason – Sam Harris; A must read for thinking people who wish to explore the parameters of religious faith in an age of increasingly available nuclear weapons. Think: Why Crucial Decisions Can’t Be Made in the Blink of an Eye – Michael R. LeGault; A fabulous read for those who wish to get in touch with their intellectual traditions and turn them into a paradigm for a better life. How Successful People Think – John C. Maxwell; A powerful little book that teaches how to think your way to being a more creative and effective person. Through Maxwell’s 11 keys you will see more clearly the path to personal success. The Saint, The Surfer and The CEO: A Remarkable Story About Living Your Heart’s Desires – Robin Sharma; As Oprah pointed out “This book changes lives”. No one will ever be the same after reading this book. You will definitely be closer to seeking the life you want and deserve. You’ve Got To Read This Book – Jack Canfield and Gay Hendricks; This is a truly wonderful book and another one of Oprah’s picks. Canfield and Hendricks have selected 57 ordinary people and told the story, in 3 or 4 pages, of how they each became extraordinary. They have very skilfully shone a light on those qualities that we can all incorporate into our lives and achieve higher goals. Great for college students. Content © 2011 John Gyles Education Center |
